Proof that I was there! More pics on the way! Posted by Picasa

LIVE8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I can't believe my luck! The most amazing thing happend to me! My good friend Michelle won tickets to go to Live8!!! And to make her the best thing in the world, she invited me to go with her!

The BEST thing about all of this as well, is that she won tickets to the GOLD section, i.e., the section usually only for competition winners (for normal concerts) and VIPs! SO, must have been seen as VERY VIP indeed!

AND........

What are the chances that our other friend, Xiomara, won the same tickets! Let's just say it was a VERY lucky day for all!

Well, what can I say! It was THE MOST AMAZING DAY of my life! We got there at around 12pm (when the doors opened) and went inside the park through our GOLD entrance! Very cool to walk through and not have to queue for hours! We go into the park and there was the stage!!!! F*&"ing hell!!!! Can't believe it!!! We were about 20 metres away from the stage! We could see people's wrinkles!!!

Here is the set list:

1. Paul McCartney/U2 - Sgt Pepper's Lonley Hearts Club Band

2. U2 - Beautiful Day, Vertigo and One

3. Coldplay - In my place, Bitter Sweet Symphony and Fix it

4. Elton John - Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting and Children Of The Revolution (rumoured to be a duet with Pete Doherty)

25. Pink Floyd - Money, Comfortably Numb (Totally AMAZING! Childhood dream come true)

26. Paul McCartney - Get Back, Drive my Car (with George Michael), The Long And Winding Road and then a quick rendetion of Hey Jude! Oh my God, a Beatle! Can't believe my eyes!! ;o)

So, this was my Saturday! 10 hours of none stop live music! In between acts we watched the other acts around the world! Will Smith, Destiney's Child, Green Day, Black Eyed Peas, A-HA and many many more!

We were there for 12 LONG hours, with 2 bottles of water, and one burger! Was starving on the way back and exhausted. Walked back to Charing Cross and took night bus back home! Michelle and I just fell a sleep in a second!

Today,I am exhausted and my throat feels raw from screaming and singing my heart out! But I would do it all over again!

Michelle, thank you soooo much for inviting me and hope I may be able to return the favour one day!

I have pics, but I am waiting for them to be developed and Xiomara is going to get us her pics on CD. So, watch this space!
