A day out in Knole Park

Mick's team decided to go on a 6 mile hike! So, I said that sounds fun!!!! I know shocking! Me do exercise...

The weather was beautiful, a little crisp in the morning, warmed up nicely later on. We stopped off at the Tea Rooms in Knole Park and had lovely scones with clotted cream and jam! Yum! It was so good! But, just before that, we got yelled at by a posh woman on a horse becasue we decided to use the port-a-loos that were in the field. Apparently, they aren't for public use!!! I have know idea what made her come all the way to us to shout, it was so uncessary! Did she really prefer if we went IN the field???? It was really funny though!

Well, the walk went really well. There were lots of walking up and down hills, through muddy fields and a field full of sheep, and their bodily waste!!! Nice!

We got to the end finally and the view was amazing! Considering it was warm, the fog made it look like a mid winter's day. Well worth the walk.

Rhodes Town

For our Summer holiday this year, we went to Rhodes. A lovely island in Greece. We were there for 1 week in September and the weather was WONDERFUL!!!!! Got a nice tan, although most of it has gone already! :o(

The water and light on Rhodes were amazing. The old town of Rhodes was so beautiful, to be able to see the old city walls and gates and to walk through cobbled lanes was really good.

We went on a boat cruise to a village south of the island called Lindos. It was so HOT, it was unbearable. But the views and sights were well worth the effort, especially walking up a very steep hill to get to the Acropolis. We decided not to use the donkeys for 2 reasons:

1) Fleas
2) Way too close to the edge!!!!

Had a lovely meal here and enjoyed some more cobbled lanes and beautiful water.

All in all, our trip was relaxing, enjoyable and very much appreciated!
